For Intermediate Painters and Beyond
Rosehips - Refined Blending used for Creating Form - Refined Blending is a formal and disciplined method of paint application. Often used in photo realistic styles of painting. Both direct and indirect applications are combined to render form. This style of blending is quite structured. Initial layers are usually created by blending together opaque values using a controlled form of blending referred to as 'refined'. When the initial layers are dried, subsequent layers of opaque and transparent pigments render the final object.
